An eyewitness says the "gory accident" occurred in the early hours of Thursday after heavy rains.
Ambulance and rescue workers are unable to access the scene of the accident because people driving along the shoulders of the road have blocked all access routes.
The police are at the scene directing traffic in a bid to free the blocked road but not much success has been achieved.
The eyewitness told Super Morning Show host, Kojo Yankson, there are casualties but it is uncertain how many people are involved.
